LUNCHEON
Our Monthly Member Luncheons are aimed at strengthening and developing mutually beneficial business contacts among our members. The official part of the luncheon consists of a presentation by a guest speaker invited by AmCham’s Board of Directors. Among our previous speakers are important government officials such as the National Leader of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President Heydar Aliyev, the Minister of Communications Mr. Ali Abbasov, the Minister of Emergency Situations Mr. Kemaleddin Heydarov, the Minister of Youth and Sports Mr. Azad Rahimov, the current U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the State Social Protection Fund Mr. Salim Muslimov, Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Mr. Valeh Aleskerov, the State Migration Service Chief Mr. Firudin Nabiyev and many others. Luncheon programs also include new member presentations and membership plaque presentations. As the highlight of our regular business events, our monthly luncheons help AmCham develop friendly business relations with the government.

COMMITTEE MEETING
AmCham is comprised of 9 industry sector committees. Committee work is carried out by a group of qualified representatives of AmCham Membership, on a voluntary basis. This way, AmCham members are able to share information, raise issues of common concern and propose possible solutions. The focus of committee meetings depends on the current situation and topics of importance at the time in Azerbaijan. The committee decisions are often included to newly adopted laws, regulations and amendments aimed to solve mutual problems of sector businesses. Any employee of any member or associate company can participate in relevant committee activities.

AmCham conferences are held several times each year on business advocacy priorities. These events provide great opportunities for members to be a part of a fruitful business dialogue as well as ask their questions to high-profile speakers. INDEPENDENCE DAY PICNIC
AmCham regularly hosts its Annual Independence Day Picnic for AmCham members, their families and employees. Each year, more than 700 people participate in a sunny day full of fun! The day features competitions for both children and adults such as a watermelon toss, tug-of-war and pie-eating. The surprise show is always a great entertaining success. The event goes on into the evening with dancing under the stars, topped off by a traditional fireworks display.

BLACK & WHITE BALL
We host our Black & White Ball annually as the highlight of the AmCham’s calendar to give AmCham members and patrons an opportunity to feel special atmosphere in a unique environment. The Black & White Ball is a spectacular evening of elegance, glamour, music and dancing. Along with a gourmet menu, our guests enjoy live music and performances, as well as a number of valuable prizes. This is not only a prestigious black tie event with more than 500 guests, including high ranking government officials but also an opportunity to raise significantly the profile and visibility for our members.
