Legal & Compliance

The Legal & Compliance Committee was initially established as a working group in 2017 to address legal and regulatory challenges faced by AmCham member companies operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan. In recognition of its growing importance and impact, it was granted full committee status in 2018.

The Committee focuses on analyzing legislative and compliance matters that influence the investment climate in Azerbaijan. One of its key activities is contributing to AmCham’s White Paper, providing expert insights and practical recommendations on legal reforms and business regulations.

By bringing together lawyers, economists, and business leaders, the Committee serves as a platform for constructive dialogue on issues affecting investment attractiveness and business operations in the country. It also offers strategic guidance to the AmCham Board of Directors on the Chamber’s engagement with regulatory bodies, lawmakers, and government institutions.
